What is a BIPA course?
BIPA stands for Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing, which means Indonesian for foreign speakers. The Lister BIPA course is a live online Indonesian course for expatriates, international students, and professionals. Learners study 1-on-1 with a tutor, combining speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural context, with optional UKBI preparation. Packages start from IDR 1,525,750 after a 15% discount.
Can I join as a complete beginner?
Yes. BIPA Short includes basic pronunciation, vocabulary, and everyday conversation. Tell your consultant about your experience so the learning plan can match your starting point.
How much does the course cost?
After the 15% discount: BIPA Short IDR 1,525,750 (5 sessions), Flash IDR 2,868,750 (11 sessions), Intensive IDR 7,798,750 (39 sessions), and BIPA + UKBI Prep IDR 5,982,725. Regular prices are IDR 1,795,000, IDR 3,375,000, IDR 9,175,000, and IDR 7,038,500. Trial fees and availability are confirmed during consultation. The final fee and package details are confirmed before enrolling.
How many sessions are included?
BIPA Short includes 5 sessions over 1 month, Flash includes 11 sessions over 2 months, and Intensive includes 39 sessions over up to 5 months. Ask your consultant about the session allocation for BIPA + UKBI Prep and the trial format.
Can I take lessons from outside Indonesia?
Yes. Classes are online. Share your city, time zone, and preferred study times so the team can help arrange a schedule subject to tutor availability.
Can lessons focus on work or university life?
Yes. Discuss the situations you want to handle, such as workplace conversations, meetings, classroom discussions, presentations, or everyday interactions. Your learning plan can reflect your goals and current level.
Will I learn Indonesian culture as well?
Cultural insights are included alongside language practice. This helps you understand the context of expressions and use Indonesian more appropriately in everyday interactions.
What is the difference between BIPA and UKBI?
BIPA is the learning program: lessons in Indonesian for foreign speakers. UKBI (Uji Kemahiran Berbahasa Indonesia) is the official Indonesian language proficiency test. If you need a UKBI result for study, work, or a scholarship, the BIPA + UKBI Prep package combines language lessons with test preparation.
Do you offer UKBI preparation?
Yes. The BIPA + UKBI Prep package combines Indonesian language learning with UKBI preparation. Discuss your current level, test plans, and required preparation with a consultant before enrolling.
Can my company arrange or fund the course?
Yes. Lister offers corporate language training and can provide an invoice and supporting documents for employer sponsorship. Funding approval follows your company’s policy.
Can I pay in installments?
A three-stage payment arrangement of 40%, 30%, and 30% is available according to the agreed terms. Ask the team to confirm payment dates before enrolling.
How quickly will I become confident in Indonesian?
Progress depends on your starting level, goals, practice, and lesson frequency. Your tutor can help you work toward practical goals and review progress throughout the course.
How do I choose the right package?
Message our consultants on WhatsApp with your goals, level, and schedule. We can suggest a package, and you can ask about a placement assessment or a trial class if you would like help deciding where to begin.
How do BIPA levels 1–7 relate to UKBI?
BIPA levels describe stages of Indonesian language learning. UKBI is a separate proficiency test whose results use seven ranks, from I (Istimewa) to VII (Terbatas). A BIPA level or course completion is not automatically equivalent to a UKBI rank or score. Discuss your starting level and the requirement set by your university or employer; UKBI registration and fees are separate unless explicitly included.
